The Scientific Committee will award distinctions to the three best oral communications of the congress and to the five best poster presentations, recognising scientific excellence, clarity, and contribution to the advancement of edible mycorrhizal research.

The Organising Committee will also acknowledge the main sponsors of the event for their commitment to the development of mycology and their support of IWEMM12.

Finally, the European Mycological Institute (EMI) will present the Golden Mycoheritage Awards (GMA) to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to building networks, fostering cooperation, and promoting, developing, and protecting the fungal world.
